There are many lessons I learned traveling to India. I could have taken the time to talk about the things I did in India but instead I fused on the things I learned because it’s not the things I did that will impact how my mind thinks, but instead it’s the lessons I learned while doing the things I did.  I would like to share three things I learn from the first step I took outside of my house to my first step in India and back. I would also like to share information about the project I worked on of a student with a different background.

The first, thing I would like to share with the world that I learned, is that anything can happen, and the path of life is not certain. It is constantly changing, therefore when life challenges us, the only thing that can be done is to keep moving forward. The future is constantly changing for good or worse. Therefore, we should always be grateful for the life we are granted to live. There is no such thing as a life that is better than yours, no matter how hard things get or how easy. There is beauty in the struggle. I saw poverty almost everywhere. A good example of being grateful about the life you have, was when I saw many groups of families living under bridges.  Although they lived in poverty, they seemed very happy and were doing productive activities. The kids were always happy and playing around with each other. I even saw a group of little kids studying.  The adults were always working on something, for example I saw the older women washing clothing by hand. It didn’t seem like the families were complaining about their situations. They were always trying to make it better by doing productive activities instead of looking for an alternate way to get rid of their problems, like using drugs to ease their pain. This made me learn to appreciate and be grateful for the live I have, and not to complain about life hardship because it could be worse. Be grateful and appreciate every little thing in life because it’s not that we don’t appreciate the little things in life, it’s how long they will last.

Not every woman in the world has the live other women have, is the second thing I would like to share that I`ve learned. Being on the other side, women are looked upon different and treat different. While in the Western cultures, women have the same rights as men. For instance, there is a woman currently running to be the president of the United States of America.  In America, women have more rights than Indian women.  Indian women have some restrictions on what they can wear in public. Unlike here, where they can wear whatever makes them feel comfortable.  In my personal experience, I happen to notice that they respect their women more than we do. I personally think women’s image in America is being destroyed by media, making women more vulnerable to criticism in social media. For example, in the American Rap music industry women are often looked down upon. Making it different from India, it makes me think that women there are given more respect there. On the other hand, it makes me feel like women in America are exposed to more opportunity but less respect. Someday, I hope all women are given the same right and respect they deserve.

The third lesson I would like to share that I learned is to be patient because people are people, no matter where they come from, and no matter the culture they practice.  Not everyone has a common culture, we are all different.  Just because someone comes from a different background, we should never show lack of interest, because he or she is practices different traditions.  Different cultural opens new doors in live. It allows us to think different, and see the world from a different perspective.  I learned to have an open mind about ethnicity. Although we are all different. We all have dreams that we would like to accomplish, and turn our dreams into reality.  Therefore, we should be tolerate different culture.  And maybe at least try to understand, why people do things in a different way. Being patient, allowed my mind to expand, when it comes giving people chance to educate me about their culture.

As a Stem major student, I was selected to work on a project called Snaptude.  For the two week course, everyone worked in a group with a different student from a different country trying to accomplish the same goal as a team.  My team consisted of five different students, and our job was to do research on the product presented to us. To investigate what impact it would have on the global market. If there’s a need for the product in the market and to analyze whether there is a similar product out there, and compare it side by side. How it would compete, whether if it would succeeded, bring completion, or even fail in the global market place.

Snaptude is a website for residential real Estate property, containing either a single family or multifamily structure, which is available for occupation for non-business purposes. With the increase in population and in increase demands for real estate properties, an online real estate destination makes the search and buying of properties easier. Residences can be classified by how they are connected to neighboring residences and land. Different types of housing tenure can be used for the same physical type. For example, connected residents might be owned by a single entity and leased out, or owned separately with an agreement covering the relationship between units and common areas and concerns. Snaptude is a comprehensive, powerful and easy-to-use web-based real estate management and sales administration software system that enables real estate professionals to control, report and make better decisions on property information. It is accessible anytime and anywhere through your iPad, iPhone or Android device on the website www.snaptude.com. Rapid economic development today, people are not satisfied with the monotony of tedious, will meet the individual needs is an important consideration in estate design. Snaptrude in estate design market has a lot of advantages, for example, high quality rendering, Visualization with interiors, Interior and exterior views, screenshots, Downloadable 3D model for further editing, Visualization within a few hours of upload. Through customer segmentation for different customer relations and customer relationship maintenance strategies. Trying to use the fastest efficiency so that users get the most comfortable experience. We believe that Snaptrude will have a huge market in the future. We intend to become a one stop visualization solution for the real estate industry in the world. We plan on aggregating the 3D data by integrating the models with maps to generate 3D mapping solutions for GIS (Geographical information systems). We are moving towards becoming a data driven solutions provider for the real estate and interior decor industry in order to build a one stop solution for consumers in the construction and decor industry.

In conclusion, there are many things that I learned from the experience. With this knowledge, I hope that someday I can change someone’s mind on how they preceive different culture. Life gives us many opportunities; the future is constantly changing because our decisions. Patience is key to understand others, and be grateful for the live we life, because not everyone has the same opportunities. A fish who lives deep down in the ocean, has no idea that there is another massive world beyond the ocean and that goes into a massive universe. Meaning that we should always have an open mind about different culture.  There is always more to explore.
